Safety & Weather
Because our treks are off-leash and off the beaten path, safety is of the utmost importance. All Dog Trekkers are educated and trained in pet first-aid and we carry first-aid kits specifically designed for our K-9 friends.
We will brave any weather conditions your dog will and are outfitted with the proper gear for all weather situations, however given Nova Scotia's harsh winter weather, there may be days we're all snowed in and therefore the odd cancellation due to weather may occur. Dog Trekkers will strive to give you as much notice as possible should this be the case.

Dog Trekkers wants your dog to get the exercise he/she needs, all while having a romping good time! Although fun is key and we encourage it, it is crucial to Dog Trekkers that the dogs receive effective leadership. This means that the dogs will be provided structure, rules, and safety while on their treks.
