Meet The Trekkers
Brian MacCormack - Owner/Lead Trekker
Brian is the owner/operator of Dog Trekkers. His love for everything dogs started almost nine years ago when he welcomed Ollie, a Golden Retriever into his life. Since then, Brian has become well versed in dog obedience training, agility, tracking, and dog behavior. He has worked with some of Halifax’s best dog trainers, coaches, and behavioral specialists. Brian is certified in pet first aid and is an associate member of the Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers. Brian’s love for the outdoors coupled with his love for dogs was all he needed to give up the rat race of the business world to start Dog Trekkers!
Ollie - My Golden Boy
There are not enough words to describe my unconditional love for Ollie. Almost eleven years ago a breeder placed a 10 pound bundle of fur into my arms and I began the greatest adventure of my life. There have been good times, bad times, and many times in between, but the truth of the matter is that I owe a lot to Ollie. He has taught me the importance of unlimited patience, understanding, and fairness. He has pushed me to my limits and showed me that respect is earned through great trust and effective communication. Ollie gives 100% and asks for very little in return, with the exception of food, water, cuddles, toys, more cuddles, treats and last but not least, a fun-filled outdoor adventure trek- daily! Ok, so maybe he does have a few demands, but he's a good boy and deserves the very best!
